My mom, Sandy Gifford (pictured) and I just returned from a beautiful afternoon of walking, shopping and a wonderful lunch outside along the water at National Harbor, Md. After lunch we peeked inside the Gaylord Resort. What an amazing place! We’re looking forward to returning with the rest of the family. They have some great upcoming events around the holidays. Maybe even take the water taxi from Old Town Alexandria to the National Harbor. This was a perfect afternoon getaway. I had no idea this was so close! Thanks.
