“"After reading your article on the Philadelphia Penitentiary, I made reservations to go there at the end of October."”

BOO!

roadtrips4My best friend Erin and I went to the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly. We stayed in Cherry Hill, N.J. and drove into Philly for the 10:30pm walk through of the haunted house! What a great haunted house! The article was written beautifully. I was easily persuaded to go and glad I went! Erin and I would like to go back again for the day tour! Aside from the uniqueness of the haunted house, there was also a small museum underground for people to read about the buildings’ history. We did have to wait in line for a little bit, but the employees of the haunted house and the hundreds of people in line kept you entertained. There are also a number of outdoor patio pubs and restaurants on the block, where we were able to grab a drink afterwards. In the picture from left to right is myself, Lindsey Lord and Erin Willey. The picture was taken at the end of the walk through and behind us is the watch tower. Unfortunately, there were no signs on the outside of the building. I think signs would eliminate some of the eeriness provided by the tall cinderblock walls and spot lights. Thanks so much for your article!

Sincerely,
Lindsey
